INTRODUCTION
The SUMMIT TRAVELER 2.0 is a portable, rechargeable LED light therapy device designed for flexibility and convenience. With a built-in high-capacity battery, you can enjoy your red light therapy anywhere and anytime — at home, in the office, at the gym, in the car, or even on the plane. Compact and lightweight, it easily fits into your backpack for true on-the-go recovery.
The SUMMIT TRAVELER 2.0 features 15 powerful dual-chip LEDs (660nm & 850nm) with a 30° optical lens to maximize light concentration and efficiency. This combination delivers high irradiance and optimal energy penetration for both superficial and deep tissue benefits.
Crafted from pure aluminum, the device ensures excellent durability and passive heat dissipation. It’s equipped with a comfortable handle strap for single-hand use. A slow-start function gradually increases brightness to protect your eyes from sudden flashes — ensuring a safe and pleasant user experience.
The upgraded version includes a 10,000mAh lithium battery, providing up to 4 hours of continuous use (about 12 therapy sessions of 20 minutes each). The Alpinglow Summit Traveler 2.0 is slightly larger and heavier than the Allez, with a design suited for home, office, or travel use. It features 15 dual-chip LEDs that are bigger and deliver higher irradiance, providing more powerful sessions, and it has a longer battery life. Q: How long should I use the SUMMIT TRAVELER for?
A: It depends completely upon the area being managed and the distance from the device. In general, all that is usually needed is ten minutes for each targeted area.
Q: Should I wear eye protection?
Eye protection is not required or necessary. However, we don’t recommend looking directly at the LEDs because it can sometimes be uncomfortable. With that said, your eyes typically become accustomed to the light and it is then OK to open your eyes, as long as you aren’t feeling discomfort.
Q: Why aren’t the infrared LEDs visible?
I can’t see them. Near infrared (NIR) light is actually not visible to the naked human eye. It is outside of the visual spectrum, and as a result, it cannot be seen. However, there is a very slight glow that comes from the LEDs, especially in dark conditions, so if you are concerned the NIR LEDs are really not working, you can test them that way.
Q: Can children use the SUMMIT TRAVELER?
Yes, children can use the SUMMIT TRAVELER under adult supervision. Never use the SUMMIT TRAVELER on infants, though. If a child is older than 12 years old, they may follow the previously referenced therapy times. If a child is younger than 12 years old, they should opt for half the dose that would be recommended for adults.
Q: When can I expect results?
Results vary depending on goals and therapy consistency. With that being said, many people will experience benefits such as increased muscle recovery, relief of pain and increased wound healing relatively quickly. However, more systemic benefits such as enhanced skin health, increased energy, improved hormonal health and increased quality of sleep may take 8-12 weeks of consistent use. Using your SUMMIT TRAVELER device every day will maximize the rate of response and healing. It is very important to be consistent with red light therapy.
Q: Does red light therapy interfere with the medications?
A: Red and near infrared light therapy has been proven in thousands of clinical studies and peer reviewed clinical trials to be not only safe but also effective. However, if you use medications such as Tetracycline, Digoxin, Retin A, and/or other photo sensitizing drugs, we recommend consulting with your doctor or health care provider before using the SUMMIT TRAVELER.
Q: Can I wear clothing during my therapy sessions?
A: Of course, just make sure that the area that you’re curing is completely exposed.
